This is very disappointing news. Suella Braverman had a clear understanding of the consequences of mass immigration. Her courage and determination to say what a majority of the public think will be a serious loss to the country.
Commenting on the appointment of James Cleverly as Home Secretary, Migration Watch UK's Chairman, Alp Mehmet said:
Congratulations to James Cleverly on his appointment as Home Secretary. He will know that the majority of the public and over 80% of those who voted Conservative in 2019 not only want the mess in the Channel resolved but much lower levels of legal migration. We wish him well.
